Eric came to The Foundation in late 2017 from The Children’s Home of Lubbock. He initially served at The Home as a House Parent alongside his wife, Larinda. After adopting two children, Eric began work telling the story and raising funds for The Home as a Development Officer. “I’ve been involved in ministry for most of my life, and this work of advocating for and supporting wounded children is a natural extension of that. Meeting big-hearted people and helping them connect their financial resources to their passion for helping others is so rewarding!” Eric and his wife stay busy with their own five children.

Gary Flenniken serves as Vice President of Planned Giving for The Children’s Home Foundation, where he has the privilege of helping families create lasting legacies that transform the lives of children for generations to come. His work is deeply personal—Gary’s own life was forever changed through adoption by The Children’s Home of Lubbock, giving him a unique perspective on the life-changing impact of generosity, faith, and family. Today, he partners with individuals, families, churches, and professional advisors to help people align their values with their legacy through thoughtful charitable planning. Gary believes every person has a story worth telling, and that one of the greatest chapters of that story is choosing to invest in a future that offers hope, healing, and opportunity for children who need it most.
